Unit 4: Now, show us YOUR world!

I think of Halifax, Canada as my hometown. It's a quiet, clean city with low population, very little traffic, and low air pollution. I wasn't born there, but it's the place that feels most like 'home' to me. In Halifax, I lived in a traditional "row house" that was over 100 years old. My neighborhood in Halifax is called the "North End" because it's in the northern part of the city. My house was across from a large park. My neighborhood was also next to the ocean. Here's a picture, taken as a screen shot from Google Earth's "street view". My house is the blue one.



Here's where that house is on the map. You can see that my neighborhood is next to the Atlantic Ocean!



When I moved to Korea, my own idea of what was 'local' changed. I really enjoy living in Shinchang (really!). The transportation is quite convenient - so I can live in the countryside, but still get to Seoul quickly and cheaply. A lot of my neighbors are very friendly, too.

    I live in Incheon Boophang Samshandong.
    I live home place name 'Samshandong' is originated from three mountains.
    It's interesting me.^^
    I was born in Bucheon Shagdong, I moved to Samshandong five years ago.
    So I little know about Incheon.
    I think Incheon is little air pollution, high price of house, many kinds traffic, high population and loud.
    But, around my house is silent, only in the morning is loud. Because morning the time to attend the office.
    We have very clean street thanks to street cleaner.
    Samshandong is peaceful during the daytime.
    Because this is bed town. So have many department stores, schools, amenities.
    My house is alongside of the river.
    This name is Gulpochan.
    I can see seagulls, wild ducks and storks around Gulpochan.
    And I can hear croaking of frogs in high summer.
    I really enjoy this every year.^^
    It's so cut!~~
    There is sports park next to Gulpochan.
    Many people loves using this park.
    And there is a man-made pond in the center of my apartment.
    It's very pretty pond! pond's water flows through the yard.
    But, the water is drained off when late fall.
    I think 'Incheon Boophang Samshandong' is a good place to live in!~~

    I was born in Inner Mongolia of China. Inner Mongolia is in the north of China.She is a very beautiful province.In my memory, there has grasslands,mustang, and Mongolian yurts.If you have gone there,maybe you can think she is that like heaven.If you haven't gone there,listen to my introduction please.
    Under the blue sky and white clouds, you will see a vivid picture of flocks of sheep and herds of cattle, galloping horses and skillful herdsen on horseback brandishing horsewhips. Do you want to go for a ride ?Now you have had a look at the grassland with your own eyes, and you can notice that the Mongolian girls are graceful.
    Milk tea is our most common drink.And it have very high food value.When the guests come here,we will use milk tea to entertain guests.
    This is my world.I think it's the most beautiful place for me.

    I was born in Gyeonggi Sanbon.
    Lived there until 6th grade in elementary school.
    And has been moved to Uiwang.
    Uiwang are living in seven years.
    Uiwang, especially the clean nature.
    I really enjoy eating wangsong in the reservoir.
    The scenery is very beautiful.
    Uiwang is almost rural.
    The building is small.
    To get a little uncomfortable, but many more.
    The people are friendly and good boy.
    It is good to live in Uiwang it seems to me.

    I live in Seoul Guro.
    My hometown 'Guro' is originated from legend
    'In old times The nine eldery man longevity lived in this area.'
    Seoul is the capital of Republic of Korea.
    Seoul is located on the Han River in the center of the Korean Peninsula.
    Seoul is quick, high pollution, traffic jam, and many kinds traffic, high population.
    But Seoul is International city.
    In 1988, Seoul Olympic was held and In 2002, Korea-Japan World Cup was held.
    Also Seoul is many Spectacle.
    Shch as 'Insa-dong',
    '63 building', 'Lotteworld','Gyungbok Place'.'Myeong-dong','Nam mountain'
    It is relaxed to me.

    I live in Siheung.
    Siheung history is very short.
    Siheung city is made in 1989.
    so we are saying Siheung, "Siheung New city"
    but I was born Incheon Bakchon.
    I moved to Siheung when I was 13 years old.
    so I don't know well Incheon Bakchon.

    Siheung is very beautiful City. But air pollution is very high. because "Sihwa Factory area."
    traffic is moderate. But 'Rush hour' is high.
    Population is low. yet Siheung is New city.
    and house price very high. because of Incheon, Songdo. Songdo is powerful darkhorse of the Korea. From Siheung to Songdo, Made road lately.

    Siheung is very easy city. many schools, many apartments, many convenience.
    Sometimes, I take a walk around Jeongwang stream. then, I'm So Happy!!
    In fact, Jeongwang stream park have many sport equipments. and many woods, many flowers.
    especially, forsythias in spring of Jengwang stream are very beautiful!!!!

    I live in jeon ju.
    Jeon ju is in jeon beuk.
    Jeon ju city has a long history.
    In days of old Jeon ju city was the biggest city in korea.
    But not now.
    Because, government doesn't invested a lot of money in jeon ju.!!!
    But jeon ju is very big city.
    Jeon ju has a population of about 630000.
    Jeon ju is very beautiful and traditional city.
    There are many famous things in jeon ju.
    Example jeonjubibimbap, the jeonju Film Festival,
    Korean-style house village And tasty foods.
    The city is known jeon ju bibimbap,hanjeongsik,makgeolli,
    bean sprouts rice. This foods taste great.
    And When you visit jeonju, korean-style house village sleeps people.
    Besides, jeon ju have got Jeonbeuk soccer team and jeonju basketball team.
    Jeonbeuk soccer team and jeonju baketball team is last year's tournament champion.
    Because, Jeon ju peoples not bored.
    I'm proud that I live in jeon ju.

    I live in SeoSan.
    I moved to SeoSan when I was 17 years old.

    SeoSan is located west of Korea.
    Area of SeoSan is 6.8 percent of ChungNam.
    SeoSan has a population of about 161,238.
    SeoSan is happy SeoSan.

    SeoSan is famous for salted oyster with hot pepper, 6 piece of garlic and mountain.
    Soyster with hot pepper is very delicous.
    6 piece of garlic eat getting health.
    If SeoSan visit Soyster with hot pepper and 6 piece of garlic have to eat.
    The closest mountain to the my house is Ok-Nyu-Bong.
    Ok-Nyu-Bong scenery is beautiful.

    SeoSan is a good city beacause not happen natural disaster.
    So SeoSan called merry SeoSan.
    I like living in the SeoSan city.
